The Fariboles workshops looked in the brilliant book "Le Groom Vert de Gris" for an idea for a
figurine that would be up to Yann and Schwartz?s creation? without success: Spirou is so caught
up in the story that drawing inspiration from one panel only would have been too simplistic.
But Olivier Schwartz came to their rescue with this picture that had everything in it: the enraged
gait, the rebellious look, Spirou dressed in the colours of infamy by the Nazi occupiers does not
intend to remain passive!
The "fine" uniform supplied by the Krauts? He already turned it into rags! Bloody Gadzooks! You
can bet the little bellboy won?t be trampled on by the German boot! Holy cow! That Spirou sure is
a tough cookie!
