his stories. The Secret of the Swordfish is the first adventure of Blake and Mortimer, published in
the Journal de Tintin between 1946 and 1949.
In this thrilling story, Blake and Mortimer
face the mysterious Yellow Empire, represented by Colonel Olrik, who becomes their recurring
nemesis. When the plot reaches its climax, Mortimer finds himself face to face with Olrik and his
gun in the radiochemical laboratory. Though Blake and Mortimer fail to capture Olrik, they still
manage to snatch victory from the hands of the Yellow Empire.
