To journey through the Cités Obscures by François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters, travel and
adventure are the only options. The Abbaye de l'Epau in Le Mans served as a venue to explore
this universe in 2016. Through various images from this world, the public was invited to explore the
legendary locations of the Obscure World.
To promote this exhibition, Voyage dans les
Cités Obscures, Schuiten created an image that incorporates the Abbey into his universe. With our
world being a major source of inspiration for Schuiten, this structure fits perfectly. Just look at the
city of Samarobrive, which shares many similarities with the city of Amiens, or the architecture that
echoes that of our own world.

from the Voyage dans les Cités Obscures exhibition. Printed on 250g Artic paper, it is available in
