The Aztec civilization, settled in the central plateau of Mexico, is a complex society shaped by
sets of intricate customs. Rarely explored due to this complexity, this universe is nevertheless
adapted by Hub in his series The Serpent and the Spear. After Okko, he
draws this unfolding intrigue with the same attention to detail.
In the city of Tenochtitlan,
the capital of the Aztec empire, numerous mummified corpses of young girls appear. Oeil-Lance
and his childhood enemy, Serpent, find themselves both investigating these occurrencesl. This plot
intertwines not only the present of these characters but also their past. This past becomes even
more important in the second volume, as Eye-Lance is convinced that his memory holds the key to
the mystery.
This deluxe edition, offered by Bruno Graff, in a 28.8 x 37.8 cm format, is
limited to 444 copies. The cover of this volume features an exclusive drawing by Hub. In addition
to the 180 pages of storyline, detailed in black and white to honor Hub's drawing, you will find 28
pages of additional color bonuses at the front. The book also includes 2 ex-libris, one of which is
signed by Hub.
