taken from his latest release, Journal d'une Bataille, published in Dupuis' Aire Libre
collection.
Journal d'une Bataille is a monumental diary where texts and
images coexist and enter into dialogue. Over a period of 18 months, the artist produced no fewer
than 92 drawings in a 150 x 100 cm format. Commissioned for an April 2024 exhibition at the
Espace Jacques Villeglé, Pedrosa's drawings form a modern Bayeux Tapestry, 135 meters long,
where emotions and expressiveness intertwine.
The texts accompanying these images reflect
the images created. They render the emotions captured in his lines and colors tangible and
accessible.
Cyril Pedrosa reveals himself through his work. Known for L'Âge
d'or, winner of the 2019 Prix BD Fnac France Inter and Prix Landerneau, as well as
Portugal, we discover a new facet of this innovative artist.
The format of this
digigraphy, although smaller than the originals, remains impressive: 70 x 50 cm. It is printed with
pigment inks on Fine Art Cotton Smooth Bright 300g paper.
