Monograph about Hergé's work by his friend Pierre Sterckx, looking at how the artwork of this comic book legend evolved over time. Sterckx looks back on his friend's early attempts and first publications in the weekly "Le Petit Vingtième" in 1929; then the perfection of the "ligne claire", which became the trademark of the Tintin series; finishing with "Tintin and the Picaros", the very last installment of the boy scout's legendary adventures. The book also explores Hergé's admiration for the likes of Warhol and Lichtenstein.
