Description

Discover the new figurine of Gomer Goof and the small Goofophone, a co-
edition by LMZ Collectibles x Collector BD in the Signature Edition collection.
This figurine is based on the iconic cover of volume 6, now volume 7, of the series.

This
Gomer figurine combines resin, PU, and metal to recreate as faithfully as
possible the eponymous hero and his noisy instrument. It has a total height of 49
cm
, a width of 29 cm, and a depth of 25 cm.

This exceptional sculpture is only available in 80 copies. It will be
numbered and signed by its sculptor David Anould and delivered with a
numbered certificate of authenticity.

The Little Goofophone, which
retains all its power despite its small size, fits in Gaston's hand. The mythical life-size Goofophone
first appeared in the 449th panel in Spirou No. 1508. To create this instrument with "a thunderous
vibration, with maximum resonance!", Franquin was inspired by an African harp exhibited at the
Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren.

It is only on the cover illustration of the sixth
album, which inspired the figurine, that the Little Goofophone really makes its entrance. This
anachronistic appearance, on the cover of an album in which it does not appear, is due to its later
publication in 1968. Small but still destructive as evidenced by Fantasio's portrait falling off the
wall, it signals the gradual disappearance of this character. He will be gradually replaced by
Prunelle, until his last appearance in panel 551.

Digital sculpture by David Arnould.
French creation. Molded, assembled, and hand-painted in China.

You
will also find Lucky Luke in the Signature Edition collection.
Gomer Goof and
the small Goofophone is also available, in a smaller format, in the Class!cs Collection.
