From its release, Hoka Hey achieved rapid success. And it's well-deserved. The
story begins with the encounter of a young Lakota boy, George, with Little Knife, a Lakota Native
American, and his two companions.
Alongside them, he discovers a world that is both familiar
and hostile. Thus, a sort of bildungsroman unfolds, during which George rediscovers his lost
culture. His worldview will be challenged by theirs, and through Little Knife, he will learn more
about his roots.
From the red deserts of the United States to its lush plains, Neyef's art takes
the characters from painting to painting.
In this art print, we find two of the main
characters, Little Knife and No Moon, both Lakota Indians. Behind them rise mountains that
closely resemble those of Monument Valley...
