From a young age, Miles Hyman was immersed in the world of art, thanks to the legacy of his
grandmother, novelist Shirley Jackson, and his mother who studied art.
Film noir serves as a
source of inspiration for him, as evidenced by the play of shadow and light in his drawings. But this
strange yet comforting luminosity is not the only guiding idea in his art. Red, whether crimson,
cherry, or vermilion, appears in his drawings like a thread of Ariadne, guiding the viewer's eye.

characteristic red of Miles Hyman's art. Behind her stands a motel, recognizable by the neon sign
