This image is the cover of the third volume of the series Bug. We see the main
character, Kameron Obb, recognizable by the blue mark on his face.
After addressing
various current issues and increasingly complex themes, Enki Bilal returns to our addiction to
digital technology.
This idea stems from his belief that "science fiction no longer exists, [...]
with this digital world, all notions of transmission have gone down the drain." So how do we exist in
a world where this communication suddenly disappears?
After a digital crash or bug, the
digital world disappears. At the same time, a man marked with blue and inhabited by an alien
foreign body gains omniscient memory. Thus, the title of this series refers both to a bug or parasite
as well as a "digital" bug.
Numbered and signed, this pigment print offered by Christian
Colin Editions is limited to 150 copies. In a 50 x 40 cm format, this image is printed on
Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g paper.
