The futuristic world created by Enki Bilal for La Tétralogie du Monstre is both vast
and confined. The three main characters, Amir, Leyla, and Nike, are connected by a single city,
Sarajevo, the city where they were born and where Nike vowed to protect them.
This
image is from the second album of the tetralogy, Trente-deux Décembre. It echoes the
scene in the first album where Nike returns to the city of Sarajevo.
This time, we see
Leyla discovering Sarajevo under the snow for the first time. As always, this frame immerses us in
Enki Bilal's futuristic world. We find a city where past and future intertwine, with contemporary
building structures contrasting with flying cars.
Numbered and signed by Enki Bilal, this
pigment print, offered by Christian Colin Editions, is limited to 100 copies. The image is printed on
Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g paper, in a 40 x 50 cm format.
