Sarajevo is the city that serves as the starting point for the story of the three main characters
of the Tétralogie du Monstre: Nike, Amir, and Leyla. They are connected by this place
that saw their birth and by Nike's quest to bring the three of them back together.
This
image is from the first album of this tetralogy, Le Sommeil du Monstre. We find Nike
making his grand return to his birthplace, Sarajevo. He lets out a cry, echoing the scream of a
toothless peasant heard shortly after his birth. Thus, past and future intertwine, not only through
Nike but also through this city, both modern and ancient.
